Shop Technician (Shop Tech)

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Shop Technician (Shop Tech) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing shop equipment and tools, as well as assisting with various shop tasks, including inventory management and compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment.
• Identify and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
• Support the team in various shop tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements.
• Help to develop and implement safety procedures.
• Assist with customer queries related to repair services.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational certification in automotive mechanics is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in automotive repair or maintenance

Technical Skills

• Electrical systems knowledge
• Service management software usage

Soft Skills

• Customer service
• Time management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of vehicle emissions regulations: Understanding of environmental regulations governing vehicle emissions.
• Experience working with specific types of machinery: Familiarity with specific brands or types of equipment may be beneficial.
