Job Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to join our team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will assess risks and determine appropriate coverage levels for our clients, utilising analytical skills and industry knowledge to deliver high-quality underwriting services.

Responsibilities

• Review insurance applications and assess potential risks.
• Estimate potential loss and establish pricing for insurance policies.
• Work closely with sales teams to ensure alignment with client needs.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of current legislation and compliance requirements.
• Prepare and present underwriting reports to senior management.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with agents.
• Develop strategies to improve underwriting processes for efficiency.
• Mentor new staff in underwriting protocols and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Further qualifications in finance or risk management are an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in insurance underwriting or related field
