Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team in Leeds. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and a proven track record in managing financial records accurately. You will be responsible for maintaining financial transactions, managing invoices, and assisting with monthly financial reports. Responsibilities

  • Record and process financial transactions in accounting software.
  • Maintain accurate ledgers and financial data.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Assist with audit preparation and documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members on financial projects.
  • Ensure timely payments and manage cash flow.
  • Develop relationships with clients for effective communication.

Requirements

Education
  • AAT qualification or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is advantageous
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
Technical Skills
  • Xero
  • QuickBooks

  • Communication Skills
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience with VAT returns: Knowledge of preparing and filing VAT returns.
  • Experience using accounting software such as Sage: Hands-on experience with various accounting packages.
