Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Database Developer to join our team in Liverpool. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to support our IT Support initiatives. The right candidate will have a solid understanding of SQL, database architecture, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

  • Implement efficient data storage solutions to enhance performance.
  • Develop advanced SQL scripts for reporting and data analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with IT staff to troubleshoot data-related issues.
  • Review and improve existing database systems for better efficiency.
  • Manage database backup and restore processes to prevent data loss.
  • Conduct routine audits of database systems for integrity and security.
  • Liaise with external vendors for database software support.
  • Provide regular updates on database performance metrics.
  • Assist in the integration of databases with other software applications.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in database design and management
