Job Description

As a Woodworking Machine Operator, you will play a key role in our production team, operating chipper machines to process wood materials efficiently. Your responsibilities will include monitoring production output, ensuring safety standards, and performing routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and adjust chipper machines for various production requirements.
  • Track and analyse production metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
  • Assist in the training of junior operators
  • Implement best practices for quality assurance.
  • Communicate efficiently with the supervisory team regarding production flow and issues.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant vocational training is preferred.
Experience
  • Experience with preventative maintenance of chipper machines is advantageous.
Technical Skills
  • Forklift operation
  • Knowledge of wood types
