Job Description

As a Farm Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our farming operations in Weston-super-Mare. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of crop and livestock management, implementing sustainable practices, and leading a team of dedicated staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term operational plans to increase farm productivity.
• Supervise the application of fertilisers and pesticides according to standards.
• Ensure effective irrigation and water management practices.
• Conduct analysis of market trends and consumer needs.
• Liaise with external stakeholders such as suppliers and local authorities.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Participate in community initiatives and represent the farm.
• Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration among staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture or related field
• Master's degree with a focus on agricultural practices is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience managing agricultural operations.
