We are seeking a Bridge Crew Member to be an integral part of our dedicated team. In this role, you will assist the Captain in navigating vessels safely through waterways, while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
Responsibilities
Support navigational activities, ensuring accurate chart plotting and monitoring of maritime traffic.
Utilise radar and GPS systems effectively for safe navigation.
Conduct checks to ensure operational readiness of all bridge equipment.
Participate in safety drills and emergency response exercises.
Document incidents and maintain comprehensive records.
Engage in effective communication with the shore and other vessels.
Assist in mentoring junior crew members on bridge procedures.
Requirements
Education
Higher Education in Marine Navigation or related field preferred
Experience
At least 2 years of experience in a dynamic maritime environment.
