Steel Detailer

Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Steel Detailer to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed drawings that adhere to project specifications and regulations, ensuring precision in the manufacturing and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and review detailed steelwork drawings using CAD software.
• Work closely with the project management team to meet project goals.
• Maintain close communication with clients to clarify project requirements.
• Support the fabrication team by providing technical assistance during production.
• Implement best practices for steel detailing to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Conduct site visits to assess structural integrity and compliance.
• Utilize software packages such as Tekla Structures and AutoCAD effectively.
• Supervise junior detailers and provide guidance when necessary.
• Prioritize health and safety regulations in all work performed.
• Ensure that all project modifications are properly documented.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplines

Experience

• Proven experience in large-scale construction projects

Technical Skills

• Steel Design Principles
• Project Management Software

Soft Skills

• Organisational Skills

Certifications

• Certification from a relevant professional body (e.g., Institution of Structural Engineers)

Languages

• English: Fluent
