Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Chaser to join our team. The Chaser will be responsible for following up with customers to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments, maintaining accurate records, and resolving any billing discrepancies. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently contact customers to remind them of overdue payments.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements with customers to settle accounts.
  • Record detailed notes of all collection activities and customer interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
  • Analyse payment patterns to improve collection strategies.
  • Assist with training of new accounts receivable staff.
  • Work towards monthly targets on outstanding balances.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to resolve disputed invoices.
  • Coordinate with external collection agencies when necessary.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices for account collection.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional certifications in accounting or finance are advantageous
Experience
  • Experience with collections and customer payment follow-ups
