Job Description

As a Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry Analyst, you will be responsible for performing analytical testing using GC-MS techniques to identify and quantify organic compounds in samples. We are looking for an experienced individual with a strong background in analytical chemistry.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analytical testing using advanced GC-MS techniques.
  • Participate in the development and optimization of new analytical methods.
  • Prepare and analyse samples in compliance with laboratory standards.
  • Document and report findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met.
  • Utilize data analysis software to interpret complex data sets.
  • Train staff on GC-MS operation and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in external audits and laboratory inspections.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field
  • Relevant professional certifications or training in GC-MS analysis
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in GC-MS analysis in a laboratory setting.
