Job Description

We are searching for a passionate Environmental Engineer to join our team in Reading. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental regulations and practices, with a focus on developing sustainable solutions. You will play a critical role in managing projects aimed at reducing environmental impact and enhancing compliance with local and national legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental impact assessments for various projects.
  • Draft and review environmental compliance documents.
  • Coordinate with governmental agencies regarding regulations.
  • Manage and oversee environmental remediation projects.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior engineers.
  • Review project proposals to assess potential environmental risks.
  • Assist in securing funding for environmental projects.
  • Create outreach programmes to educate stakeholders about environmental conservation.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Environmental Management are desirable
Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in environmental consulting or engineering
