Job Description

As a Personal Care Aide, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, assisting them with daily living activities and promoting their independence. This rewarding role involves creating a supportive and safe environment for those in your care.

Responsibilities

  • Aid clients in performing daily living tasks effectively.
  • Implement care strategies that enhance the wellbeing and independence of service users.
  • Facilitate access to medical, social, and community services.
  • Record and report changes in clients' conditions or capabilities.
  • Actively participate in creating a positive atmosphere where clients feel secure and valued.
  • Engage in training to maintain a high standard of care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and care team members.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care preferred
Experience
  • Experience working with specific disability populations preferred.

  • Organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to handle crisis situations
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous
