Job Description

As a Hob Machine Operator, you will set up and operate hobbing machines for cutting and shaping metal parts. Your role will involve working closely with various machinery and ensuring that you can read technical drawings accurately.

Responsibilities

• Setup machinery and calibrate settings based on project specifications.
• Ensure tools and equipment are in proper working condition.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production schedules and challenges.
• Continuous monitoring of production processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in developing best practice procedures for machine operation.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a vocational or technical training program in machining or manufacturing

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience operating hobbing machines or similar machinery in a manufacturing setting

Technical Skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Knowledge of machine operations and maintenance
• CNC programming knowledge
• Familiarity with measuring instruments

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Team collaboration

Certifications

• Health and Safety Certification
• Forklift Operator Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with CAD software: Familiarity with computer-aided design software to assist in technical drawing interpretation.
