Job Description

The Resource Specialist Teacher will design and implement tailored education plans for students with special needs. Focusing on collaboration with classroom teachers, parents, and specialists, this role aims to ensure that all students receive the support and resources they need to succeed academically.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and support in special education classes.
  • Work in partnership with teachers to facilitate the inclusion of students with special needs.
  • Assess and evaluate students to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Adapt teaching strategies based on the specific requirements of students.
  • Keep detailed records and documentation of student performance and needs.
  • Engage in regular communication with parents and educational professionals to enhance student success.
  • Attend training and workshops to remain updated on the latest special education methodologies.
  • Coordinate with external professionals, like therapists, to support student needs.
  • Support the overall mission of the school by promoting inclusivity.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Teaching qualification in Special Education is essential
Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in special education or related roles is required.
