Racing Board Marker

Job Description

As a Racing Board Marker, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is displayed on racing boards before and during races. Your attention to detail will help create an inclusive and informed environment for all spectators and participants.

Responsibilities

• Mark and maintain accurate display of racing information on boards.
• Update boards in real-time as race conditions change.
• Coordinate with judges and starting gate crew to ensure race data accuracy.
• Keep materials in good condition and ensure a tidy workspace.
• Assist in training new hires on board management procedures.
• Participate in post-race debriefings to enhance future performance.
• Liaise with groundkeepers to maintain the area surrounding the racing boards.
• Report any equipment issues promptly to management.

Requirements

Education

• No specific qualifications required.

Experience

• Prior experience working at a racing event or in a similar fast-paced environment is advantageous.
