Environmental Compliance Officer

Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Compliance Officer to join our team in Leicester. You will play a critical role in ensuring our projects comply with environmental regulations while contributing to sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee environmental compliance programs.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess compliance.
• Develop and maintain records of compliance monitoring.
• Educate employees on environmental responsibilities and regulations.
• Draft and submit environmental compliance reports to management.
• Work with external consultants when necessary for assessments.
• Support the organisation's sustainability initiatives.
• Monitor environmental performance metrics and improve processes.
• Participate in stakeholder engagement activities.
• Assist with the assessment of company projects for environmental risks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Postgraduate qualifications in Environmental Law is a plus

Experience

• 4-6 years in environmental compliance or consulting roles
