Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our Cardiff team. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic support to individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues, facilitating their journey towards recovery. This role requires a deep understanding of mental health conditions, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse client base.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement therapeutic programmes tailored to individual client needs.
  • Keep abreast of current best practices in mental health therapy and integrate them into practice.
  • Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients to express their thoughts and feelings.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance therapeutic skills.
  • Work alongside community organisations to promote mental health awareness and resources.
  • Create and maintain strong therapeutic alliances with clients.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Mental Health Counselling
  • Advanced qualifications in specific therapeutic practices are an advantage
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in clinical therapy or related fields

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Mindfulness Techniques

Certifications
  • Chartered Psychologist status with the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Accredited Counsellor Certification
