Job Description

As a Curator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and preserving our esteemed collections of art and artifacts. This position entails conducting extensive research, acquiring new items, and designing captivating exhibitions. You will collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals while engaging with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the curation and arrangement of exhibitions to maximize their impact.
  • Coordinate with artists and art historians to enhance collection credibility.
  • Develop educational materials to accompany exhibitions.
  • Maintain relationships with donors, artists, and scholars.
  • Manage preparation and presentation of loan exhibitions.
  • Guide and mentor interns and volunteers.
  • Evaluate and assess the collection for conservation needs.
  • Participate in fundraising efforts to enhance exhibition opportunities.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Museum Studies, History, or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • Prior experience in curatorial roles, museum work, or related field is advantageous
