Tax Consultant

Job Description

As a Tax Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in assisting clients with tax planning, compliance, and advisory services. Your expertise will ensure that our clients maximise their tax efficiency while remaining in compliance with the latest regulations. This role also involves providing tailored advice based on the unique financial situations of our diverse client base.

Responsibilities

• Review tax returns and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Develop strong relationships with clients to understand their financial needs.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in relation to tax issues.
• Research and prepare responses to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Evaluate potential tax savings opportunities for clients.
• Provide strategic advice on wealth management and tax implications.
• Collaborate with the audit team during client audits.
• Support the development of tax policies and procedures within the firm.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Master's degree in Taxation or similar is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in taxation or audit roles

Technical Skills

• VAT Regulations
• Risk Management

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• ICAEW or equivalent qualification
• Chartered Accountant (CA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and financial modelling.
• Experience with Data Analytics: Understanding of data analysis to support tax strategies.
