Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our vibrant team in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing and analysing financial statements, and ensuring all financial practices comply with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyse financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Support the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance.
• Develop reports and dashboards to track performance metrics.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team.
• Manage bank relationships and oversee cash management.
• Assist with internal audits and implement necessary improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant discipline
• Professional certifications (ACCA, ACA) preferred

Experience

• 2+ years' experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Financial Modelling
• Data Analysis

• Time Management

Certifications

• CIMA or relevant certification preferable

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in payroll administration: Knowledge in managing payroll processes within the firm.
• Understanding of corporate finance principles: Knowledge of corporate finance and investment analysis.
