Job Description

As a Public Health Officer in Middlesbrough, you will play a pivotal role in promoting public health initiatives, conducting health assessments, and implementing effective health strategies. Your expertise will contribute to improving health outcomes across the community.

Responsibilities

  • Implement strategies to reduce health inequalities within the community.
  • Engage with professional stakeholders and community members to gather feedback.
  • Research and develop educational materials for public dissemination.
  • Collaborate with local schools and businesses to promote health initiatives.
  • Assess the effectiveness of public health campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Manage budgets for public health initiatives and ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Support the Director of Public Health in strategic planning and reporting.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health or Epidemiology is highly preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in public health or community health roles
