Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Public Health Officer to join our team in Coventry. In this role, you will focus on community health initiatives, data analysis, and health education to promote public well-being. Ideal candidates will have a background in public health or epidemiology, with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct epidemiological investigations into health issues.
  • Develop and implement health improvement plans.
  • Engage with community groups to advocate for health improvements.
  • Support the training of health staff and volunteers.
  • Coordinate health promotion events and initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's in Public Health or equivalent
  • Master's degree in Public Health is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years in public health, policy development, or community health roles
Technical Skills
  • Statistical Software (e.g., SPSS, R)
  • Program Evaluation

  • Leadership
  • Negotiation
Certifications
  • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
