We are seeking a meticulous Records Custodian to manage and maintain our organizational records. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with data protection regulations while organizing and classifying records efficiently.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the life cycle of records from creation to destruction.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits to ensure adherence to policies.
  • Implement best practices for data storage and retrieval.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
  • Coordinate with IT for the proper management of electronic records.
  • Train new staff on records management procedures and tools.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to records management processes.
  • Handle requests for information and record retrieval efficiently.
  • Assist with managing physical records storage facilities.
  • Report on records management performance metrics.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional certifications in records management or related field preferred
  • Attention to detail Critical for ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Document Management Systems Proficient in software used for managing documents and records.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Competent in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for administrative tasks.
  • Strong organisational skills Essential for managing multiple records efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills Required for collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team Flexibility to work alone or collaboratively as required.
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Familiarity with archival principles and practices: Knowledge of how to manage and preserve records for long-term storage.
  • Experience with desktop organisation software: Utilising tools that enhance productivity and organisation in a digital setting.
