Responsibilities

  • Assess clients' needs and create customized lesson plans for therapeutic riding.
  • Promote the physical and emotional benefits of equine-assisted therapy through riding.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations during all sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and session notes.
  • Provide guidance and support to volunteers assisting with lessons.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training.
  • Create a positive and encouraging environment for clients to thrive.

Requirements

Education
  • Certification as a Therapeutic Riding Instructor (e.g., PATH International Registered Instructor)
Experience
  • Experience working as a Therapeutic Riding Instructor with individuals with disabilities.
