Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to lead our cybersecurity initiatives in Sunderland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT security and will be responsible for protecting our digital assets from cyber threats. You will work closely with various teams to ensure compliance and implement security protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of an information security strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Implement security monitoring and intrusion detection systems.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for information security concerns.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and manage security risks.
  • Ensure timely reporting and documentation of security incidents.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging threats.
  • Facilitate regular security assessments and audits.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to junior security staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
  • Master's degree in Information Assurance or related field is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years in IT security roles with management experience
