Job Description

As a Roads Superintendent, your primary responsibility will be overseeing road construction and maintenance, ensuring all projects are executed on time, within budget, and meet stringent quality standards. You will coordinate with contractors and manage a dedicated team to address challenges on-site. Your role is integral to sustaining our commitment to delivering safe and efficient road networks throughout the region.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee road construction, maintenance, and repair projects.
  • Ensure high standards of workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
  • Manage budgets and monitor project expenditures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project updates.
  • Promote resource efficiency and sustainability practices in road maintenance.
  • Review and manage contract negotiations with third-party contractors.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports to senior management.
  • Establish and maintain effective client relationships.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Relevant certifications in health and safety management.
Experience
  • 5+ years experience in construction, with a focus on roadworks.
