Job Description

As a Chainman, you will play a vital role in assisting surveyors with conducting critical surveys to determine property boundaries and gather essential data for construction and engineering projects. You will work closely with a skilled team, ensuring accuracy in measurements and recording crucial information.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing site surveys and ensuring data integrity.
  • Execute measurements as directed by surveying professionals.
  • Participate in equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Facilitate effective communication between teams on-site.
  • Review data for accuracy and assist in report preparation.
  • Learn and implement new surveying techniques and tools as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • Basic education, typically GCSEs or equivalent
  • Completed vocational training or apprenticeship in surveying
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in surveying in a construction environment.
Technical Skills
  • Use of surveying software and equipment
  • Mathematics and Geometry

Languages
  • English: Fluent
