Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tooling Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will maintain and repair various tools and equipment crucial for our production processes. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring operational efficiency and minimising downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect tooling equipment regularly and conduct preventive maintenance checks.
  • Diagnose and resolve malfunctions promptly to reduce production downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather tooling requirements for projects.
  • Document all maintenance activities, ensuring records are kept up to date.
  • Deliver training to new staff on tooling processes and safety measures.
  • Engage with technical teams to identify areas for tool performance enhancements.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards in all maintenance activities.
  • Conduct regular audits of tooling equipment to assess performance and safety compliance.
  • Assist in the development of maintenance schedules for equipment care and upgrades.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Relevant technical certification or apprenticeship in tooling or engineering
  • Additional qualifications in engineering fields are a plus
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in tooling maintenance or engineering role
Technical Skills
  • Strong mechanical skills

Advantageous

  • Experience with CNC machinery: Hands-on experience with CNC machining or programming would be beneficial.
  • Robotic automation experience: Familiarity with robotic systems and automation technologies is a plus.
