Job Description

As a Choir Teacher, you will be responsible for developing the vocal skills of students through engaging lessons and choral conducting. You will create an inclusive and inspiring environment that fosters a love for music, helping students to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement an inspiring choral curriculum.
  • Select music repertoire that reflects the diversity of student talents.
  • Encourage and develop student creativity in music-making.
  • Utilize technology and resources for effective lesson delivery.
  • Provide feedback to students for improvement and growth.
  • Collaborate with local music community for events and workshops.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to departmental initiatives.
  • Facilitate vocal warm-up sessions to promote vocal health.
  • Mentor students for competitions and exams in music.
  • Promote an appreciation for different musical genres.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Music or Music Education
Experience
  • Teaching experience in a school setting is preferred.
