Job Description

As a Loan Officer, you will be responsible for managing the loan process for real estate transactions, including mortgage loans, commercial loans, and construction loans. You will work closely with clients to gather financial information and assess their creditworthiness.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret financial data for assessing loan applications.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of loan documentation.
  • Educate clients about loan processes and requirements.
  • Develop networking relationships to source new business opportunities.
  • Monitor loan applications for timely approval and disbursement.
  • Handle client inquiries and provide timely updates on loan status.
  • Work with underwriting and processing teams to facilitate smooth loan closings.
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with loans.
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions and loan applications.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance professional knowledge.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field
Experience
  • At least 3 years in a similar role with strong knowledge of mortgage lending and underwriting guidelines

Certifications
  • CYBERA certification in Mortgage Lending
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) is a plus
