Game Animator

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Game Animator to join our creative team in Lancaster. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and animating game characters and environments, contributing to the overall aesthetic and gameplay experience. Ideal candidates will have experience with industry-standard software and a passion for storytelling through animation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement animations for gameplay mechanics and cinematic sequences.
• Conduct regular reviews of animations to ensure they meet project goals.
• Provide feedback to junior animators and assist in their development.
• Collaborate with sound designers to synchronize animations with audio effects.
• Create and maintain an animation library for reuse across projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Animation, Art, or a related field
• Relevant professional experience can substitute for formal education

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the gaming industry

Technical Skills

• 3D Modelling
• Animation Software (Maya, Unity)

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Animation and Game Design Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
