Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychological assessment, counseling, and therapy services to individuals experiencing mental health conditions. They will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver effective treatment and care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and interpret psychological assessments to provide effective treatment.
  • Engage in therapeutic sessions, including cognitive behavioural therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
  • Provide consultations to other health professionals regarding patient care.
  • Develop group therapy programs to support community mental health initiatives.
  • Conduct research related to mental health practices and treatment outcomes.
  • Facilitate workshops and training for staff on mental health awareness.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
  • Maintain professional development and continuing education.
  • Support crisis intervention and emergency services when needed.
  • Promote mental health education within the community.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctorate in Psychology (D.Psy or Ph.D.) or equivalent
  • Specialized training in cognitive behavioural therapy is preferred
Experience
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations and various mental health conditions.
