Job Description

We're on the lookout for an Aviation Safety Officer in Huddersfield, who will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety across our operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in aviation safety management and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and enhance existing safety management systems.
  • Implement safety initiatives that promote a culture of safety.
  • Facilitate safety committee meetings and training sessions.
  • Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents and compliance.
  • Offer expert safety advice during planning of aviation projects.
  • Engage with external safety regulators and respond to audits.
  • Assist in preparing for safety accreditation assessments.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Safety or Engineering
  • An MSc in Aviation Safety Management is preferable
Experience
  • 5+ years in aviation safety management
