Public Health Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a Public Health Officer to join our team in Leicester. In this role, you will develop and implement public health programmes, conduct health assessments, and liaise with community stakeholders to promote health education. The ideal candidate will be passionate about public health and possess strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage public health programmes targeting key issues.
• Evaluate public health programmes and report on outcomes.
• Serve as a resource for community health education activities.
• Coordinate efforts with other health professionals and organisations.
• Develop partnerships to enhance public health efforts.
• Monitor funding and resource allocation for health initiatives.
• Advocate for public health policy changes as necessary.
• Manage public health data for reporting and analysis.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is desirable

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in public health or community health roles

Technical Skills

• Epidemiology
• Data analysis software

Certifications

• Registered Public Health Nutritionist
• Health Education Specialist (CHES)

Languages

• English: Fluent
