Job Description

A Breast Worker plays a crucial role in providing specialized care and support to patients facing breast-related health concerns. The ideal candidate will work closely with medical professionals to ensure optimal treatment and assistance, combining technical skill with compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed breast examinations and health screenings.
  • Educate patients about breast self-examination and health maintenance.
  • Assist in mammographic and ultrasound procedures for diagnosis.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team on treatment strategies.
  • Provide medications and other treatments as prescribed.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatments.
  • Observe and communicate any significant changes in patient health.
  • Offer psychological support to patients facing breast health challenges.
  • Engage in continuous education regarding breast health advancements.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment among healthcare professionals.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant certification as a Breast Worker or similar qualification
  • Degree in Nursing, Medical Science, or a related field
Experience
  • Prior experience in healthcare, particularly in breast health or oncology preferred.
