Cushion Sewer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cushion Sewer to join our manufacturing team. As a Cushion Sewer, you will be responsible for sewing and assembling various types of cushions for our range of products.

Responsibilities

• Operate sewing machines and related tools in producing cushions and soft furnishings.
• Read and interpret sewing patterns, blueprints, and specifications.
• Prepare fabric pieces by cutting and aligning them according to the design.
• Stitch pieces together using various sewing techniques, ensuring accuracy.
• Perform quality inspections on completed products to maintain standards.
• Maintain and clean sewing machines and workstations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production.
• Assist in other production tasks as required.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in textile manufacturing is a plus

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Technical Skills

• Machine maintenance
• Various sewing techniques

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of cushion styles: Experience with making box cushions or piped cushions is a plus.
• Quality control experience: Background in quality control processes in manufacturing environments.
