Job Description

As a Marine Oiler, you will be responsible for maintaining and lubricating machinery aboard our vessels. You will play a crucial role in supporting engineers and ensuring operational efficiency at sea. This is a hands-on position that requires teamwork and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate critical machinery to ensure smooth operation.
• Support the engineering team with maintenance work.
• Record performance metrics of machinery and report discrepancies.
• Manage fuel and oil systems, ensuring efficient operation.
• Conduct thorough cleaning of engine compartments.
• Help with cargo operations during loading and unloading.
• Comply with all safety protocols and regulations.
• Join emergency response drills and training sessions.
• Assist fellow crew members with their duties as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and operational regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Valid STCW certification
• Basic Safety Training certification

Experience

• Experience in oil tanker operations is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Computer literacy

Certifications

• Engine Room Rating Certificate (preferred)
• Medical Fitness Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
