Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Environmental Researcher to join our dedicated team. You will play a crucial role in research activities, focusing on data-driven approaches to enhance environmental policy and community practices in Wakefield, making a tangible difference in our local environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive environmental assessments and audits.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address complex environmental problems.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of environmental programs and policies.
  • Prepare technical documents and presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Utilise GIS and other analytical tools for data visualization.
  • Engage with community members to gather insights and facilitate participation.
  • Maintain meticulous records of research activities and findings.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior researchers and interns.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies or a related discipline
  • Master's degree in Environmental Science is an asset

  • 3+ years of practical experience in ecological research or a similar role
