Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Solid Waste Collection Worker to join our committed team. You will play a vital role by ensuring the efficient collection and disposal of refuse and recyclable materials, helping to promote sustainability in our community.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections of collection vehicles before starting shifts.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure operations run smoothly.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on health and safety standards.
  • Report any malfunctions or issues with equipment to the supervisor promptly.
  • Assist in the training of new staff members on waste collection procedures.
  • Drive collection vehicles on designated routes, ensuring timely completion of daily tasks.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and good rapport with community members while on duty.

Requirements

Education
  • Health and Safety Certification (desired)
Experience
  • Experience in waste management or similar field preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Safety Regulations Knowledge

  • Problem-Solving
Certifications
  • Forklift Operator License (preferred)
Languages
  • English: Fluent

  • Experience operating refuse collection vehicles: Hands-on experience driving waste collection vehicles.
