Coppersmith Helper

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Coppersmith Helper to assist our Coppersmith in various tasks related to copper fabrication. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in metalwork and a willingness to learn and grow in this field. The Coppersmith Helper will support the Coppersmith in crafting and repairing copper items such as pipes, roofs, and gutters.

Responsibilities

• Support the Coppersmith with various copper fabrication tasks.
• Organise and maintain tools and work area.
• Learn and implement safe working practices.
• Participate in quality control assessments of finished products.
• Provide assistance with inventory management of materials.
• Help with training new team members.
• Maintain an efficient workflow on the fabrication floor.
• Document work progress and report to supervisors.

Requirements

Education

• Vocational training in metalwork or copper fabrication preferred.

Experience

• Some experience in related metalwork environments is beneficial.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of welding techniques.
• Knowledge of safety protocols.

Soft Skills

• Physical stamina
• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working with various copper alloys.: Hands-on familiarity with different types of copper materials and their uses.
• Ability to read technical drawings.: Skilled in interpreting specifications, blueprints, and diagrams.
