Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Metal Work Duct Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining metal ductwork systems in various commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of metalwork fabrication techniques and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install duct systems in accordance with industry standards and specifications.
• Utilize hand and power tools for metal cutting and shaping.
• Conduct system tests to ensure functionality and safety.
• Work in collaboration with project managers and engineers to ensure compliance with project timelines.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff on installation techniques.
• Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing ductwork and propose repairs or modifications.
• Document installation processes and maintain a daily log of activities.
• Follow strict adherence to safety protocols and practices.
• Assist in the training of new employees on installation procedures and safety practices.
• Stay informed of new materials and developments within the metalwork industry.

Requirements

Education

• NVQ Level 2 in Sheet Metal Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

• Experience in commercial or industrial duct installation projects.
