Job Description

As a Power Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the continuous operation and maintenance of plant machinery, ensuring safety and efficiency standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections of plant machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform repairs.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed during operations.
  • Calibrate and monitor control systems for optimal performance.
  • Document all maintenance activities and report any significant issues.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to improve machine functionality.
  • Maintain an orderly work area and ensure tools and equipment are properly stored.
  • Assist in the training of new staff on equipment handling and safety practices.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes for operational efficiency.
  • Stay informed about advances in technology and industry standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Recognized apprenticeship or vocational training in Plant Maintenance, Engineering, or related field
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in plant maintenance and repairs.
