Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Petrographer to join our dedicated team. You will be responsible for analysing geological samples using advanced techniques and equipment, providing crucial insights into mineral classification and structure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct petrographic analysis of geological samples to identify mineral composition.
• Show initiative in developing reports and presentations based on analytical findings.
• Provide training to junior staff and assist in maintaining quality control in the lab.
• Contribute to collaborative research efforts within the geology team.
• Manage projects efficiently while meeting deadlines and producing high-quality results.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Geology or related field preferred
• Professional certifications in geology or petrography are advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in geological analysis

Technical Skills

• Laboratory Equipment Proficiency

• Team Collaboration

Certifications

• Certified Professional Geologist (CPG)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with geological software such as Petrel or GIS applications.
