Job Description

As a Museum Technician and Conservator, you will play a pivotal role in restoring and preserving valuable art objects and historical artifacts. Your expertise will help ensure that these treasures are maintained for future generations to appreciate.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of damaged art pieces.
  • Implement appropriate restoration techniques to preserve integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with conservation standards and guidelines.
  • Provide expert advice on the care and handling of artworks.
  • Collaborate with other conservators in large-scale restoration projects.
  • Train and mentor junior conservators and interns.
  • Participate in outreach and educational programs.
  • Keep abreast of developments in conservation methodologies.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Conservation Science or similar
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a museum or gallery setting
