We are seeking an experienced Payroll Master to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. If you have a strong attention to detail and a passion for payroll management, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Overseeing payroll processing and ensuring timely payments.
• Reviewing payroll data for accuracy before submission.
• Liaising with HR to ensure accurate employee records.
• Conducting payroll audits to ensure compliance.
• Providing training and support to junior payroll staff.
• Collaborating with financial teams to align payroll with fiscal policies.
• Handling report generation for management review.
• Analyzing payroll trends and recommending improvements.
• Assisting employees with tax queries and deductions.

Requirements

Education

• A recognised accounting or payroll qualification (e.g. CIPP, AAT)
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English

Experience

• At least 2 years' experience in managing payroll.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of UK Payroll Legislation
• Advanced Excel Skills

Certifications

• CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate
• AAT Level 2 Certificate in Payroll Administration

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience in payroll auditing: Experience conducting payroll audits and resolving discrepancies.
