Job Description

As a Motion Picture Projectionist at Cinema Experience Ltd., you will be responsible for operating and maintaining film and digital projection equipment. You will ensure seamless and high-quality audiovisual presentations, troubleshoot technical issues during screenings, and collaborate with technical teams to deliver exceptional experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the proper setup and alignment of projectors, screens, and speakers for optimal viewing experience.
  • Coordinate with film distributors to manage and handle movie prints as well as digital files.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and basic repairs to projection equipment as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of projection supplies, including film reels and other essential equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations relevant to projection activities.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with other cinema staff to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Adapt to changes in screening schedules and assist with late-night operations as required.
  • Participate in training sessions to improve technical skills and knowledge on projection technology.
  • Assist in planning and executing unique event screenings.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Training or certifications in projection equipment operation and maintenance preferred
Experience
  • Prior experience as a Projectionist or in a similar role within the cinema or entertainment industry preferred.
