Job Description

The Core Inspector plays a crucial role in our geological operations, responsible for inspecting and analysing core samples from oil and gas wells. This position requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ascertain the properties and composition of geological samples.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of core samples to assess their quality.
  • Collaborate with geologists and engineers to discuss findings and suggest improvements.
  • Utilise geological software and logging tools to support investigations.
  • Train junior technicians in best practices and techniques.
  • Review and update protocols to align with industry standards.
  • Participate in safety audits and contribute to risk assessments.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctorate in Geosciences or related field
  • Relevant certifications in geological analysis are beneficial
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in geological analysis
