The Recreation and Fitness Studies Teacher will implement and oversee wellness and fitness programs for students, focusing on promoting healthy lifestyles through various activities and education.
Responsibilities
Create and execute fitness-related lesson plans for diverse populations.
Lead group fitness sessions and provide hands-on instruction.
Monitor equipment usage and maintain a clean, organized space for exercises.
Provide mentorship and support to students pursuing careers in wellness.
Implement fitness assessments and track improvements.
Collaborate with health services to support student well-being.
Prepare students for certifications in fitness and wellness.
Contribute to curriculum development and enhancements.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field
Master's degree is a plus
Experience
At least 3 years' experience in teaching or fitness coaching
