Industrial Design Engineer

Job Description

As an Industrial Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and improving product designs that meet customer needs and market demands. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop prototypes and iterate on designs based on user feedback.

Responsibilities

• Research materials and manufacturing processes to inform design choices.
• Create compelling presentations for design proposals.
• Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on best practices.
• Analyse product performance data to identify areas for improvement.
• Champion sustainable design practices in all projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Assist in the development of marketing strategies for new products.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field
• Professional certification in design is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in product design or development

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Material Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified Industrial Designer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in automotive design: Previous experience in designing automotive products is a plus.
• Knowledge of regulations in design: Understanding of the regulatory environment for product design and safety.
