Job Description

We are looking for an Environmental Consultant to join our team in Brighton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science and engineering, ready to provide expert guidance to clients on sustainable practices and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assess and report on environmental risks associated with projects.
• Develop actionable environmental improvement plans for clients.
• Collaborate with engineers and planners on project proposals.
• Evaluate compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
• Facilitate public engagement processes regarding environmental projects.
• Provide expert testimony or reports for environmental assessments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree in Environmental Management is preferable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience, with a focus on consulting roles

Technical Skills

• Environmental Legislation
• Project Management

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• LEED Green Associate
• Environmental Consultant Certification by a recognised body

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficient in environmental modelling software: Experience with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) software.
• Previous consultancy experience: Proven track record in providing consultancy services in the environmental sector.
